I'm a good TD but it wasn't always that way. I've struggled like the rest of us and have been surprised by new (or very old) equipment that nobody on the truck knew how to operate. I owe a lot to the TDs and EICs that have bailed me out when all I could produce was a vacant stare at some mysterious device. Creating this site is my way of paying it forward and if it actually does make the difference in somebody's show then it's been worth it (send no money, you can pay me in food).

This is a work in progress. For a while (years, to be precise) there have been some broken links as portions are not yet complete.
I try to be as accurate as possible but there may be typos and I'm not the best writer in the world so sometimes I may not express a concept in the clearest possible way. If anything is unclear, please let me know so that I may make revisions.
I'm not the most knowledgable TD out there so there may be some visitors who can offer better help. I will accept corrections and contributions to this site.
I don't have a lot of time to update this site so I don't do it very often but check back from time to time. It makes my bored hit counter feel better.
Remember, there are always work-arounds when you can't get something to function correctly but hopefully you'll find clues here to keep your equipment smart and happy or at least operational. If not, use lots of profanity. It won't make anything work but you'll feel better.
